DOUBLE SPRING PJDDPRING+ |
- Makes it impossible to lose the ice axes - Leaves hands free - Long when required - Compact when required An elastic double sling system to avoid losing tools when climbing on rock or ice, solving the problem of modern climbing without a leash. The Double Spring is attached to the harness by looping it through the tape ring over the harness itself. The two ice axes are attached with 2 small carabiners to the holes on the spike (max 750kg). Permits easy changeovers of hands and tools. The two sections are so elastic that they don’t impede any movement and allow maximum arm extension when required. Compact when required, long when required. Attention: the double spring must never be used as a self belay for the climber or to belay a companion. Its strength is limited to 200kg. The two small carabiners have a maximum resistance of 750kg and must never be used instead of normal carabiners when climbing or belaying. |
SINGLE SPRING PJSSPRING+ |
• Makes it impossible to lose the ice axe • Leaves hands free • Long when required • Compact when required An elastic sling system to avoid losing tools when climbing on rock or ice. This solves the problem for climbers who love climbing without a leash. The Single Spring is attached to the harness by looping it through the tape ring over the harness itself. The small carabiner is hooked onto the hole on the axe’s head when using it to lean on when walking or through the hole on the spike when holding the shaft in traction. In both cases it is impossible to lose the axe. The system allows the climber to swap hands or tool easily without interfering with the manoeuvre thanks to it compactness and the arm can be extended to its limit thanks to its elasticity. Compact when required, long when required. Attention: the single spring must never be used as a self belay for the climber or to belay a companion. Its strength is limited to 200kg. The small carabiner has a maximum resistance of 750kg and must never be used instead of a normal carabiner when climbing or belaying. |

Daisy chain Daisy chain |
We all love the comfort and versatility of the Daisy-chain. But in its traditional version it can lead to wrong uses and become therefore dangerous. In fact no DC on the market is guaranteed to the CE values of 22kN, like the quick draws or the carabiners. Therefore it can be the “weak ring” of the system, mainly when used in belaying. The pockets of a classical daisy chain have a very low loading strength which never exceeds the 2kN because they are designed for static load only, and consequently the only safe way to use a daisy chain as a sling is between the two end loops. The Dyneema sling is so thin that can cut itself when in traction. Grivel has studied the problem over a long period of time, and has come up with the problem solving GDC. Today Grivel can offer a chain guaranteed to 22kN in every loop and every point! No more possibility of error, and no risk of mistake or dangerous manoeuvres. Also available with K1N carabiner |
