AXE GUARD AXE GUARD - Art. PJ049.22
Brand new protective cover for ice axe heads. The ring in the centre loops over the shaft. It maintains the two protections when they are inserted on the spike and adze. THE HORN THE HORN - Art. PJ34.75 (patented)
The Horn supports the hand, protecting it from violent blows against the wall. It also is a safe and balanced support for the ice axe against ice. The Horn can be detached when a completely free spike is requested. The Horn can be fitted on all Grivel ice axes, even on the earlier models that have a spike with a clip hole. The Horn is a must have for “leashless” climbing. WARNING: The Horn has been designed only as a support for the climber’s hand. It must never be used for belaying either the climber or partner. It must never be used for manoeuvres with ropes.
